Switch on any news channel wat u get?......India has poverty! India is poor ! India is not competent!! News channels and media which is a very important tool in a country like ours should stop comparing our country with other nations.
Why let me tell u this for more than 150 years we were ruthlesly ruined by the colonial masters and after such a hard fight we got the independence, though not fully happy, we took on the world as one of the poorer countries. Imagine the scenario the world was still engaged in the world war and a immense power struggle was happening across the globe, in our country itself independence didn't come with fancies and treats;we had communal tension in the North where the Kashmir problem was looming large and most of the princely states were demanding for independence....Luckily we had some great leaders who tackled the issue in a very defiant manner.....All of a sudden Gandhiji dies and there was a sense of gloom in the countrty and India was on the verge iof sinking...we had to import food....the industries,to be established...the army still in its nascent stage and were to deal with China and the other interior problems. Technologically we were nowhere near China nor any other country.
Let's Shift to the present day scenario, We are the IT hub of the world, Self sufficient in food manufacturing technologically competent and the army is one of the best in the world,and add to this a booming economy. It took57 years, well just 57 years. Tell me any other country or any other civilization in any time frame to do this. Well, there is a feeling India could have done better but it is utopian to think so.
Look at our country,there are more languages in our country then the languages in all the developed countries put together, Still everyone from Kashmir to Kanyakumari thinks he is an Indian irrespective of the language he speaks. There is a sense of oneness. Recently in a survey it was revealed that more than 90% of our citizens are proud to be an Indian. This percentage is second only to U.S. India is the Largest democracy and the true meaning of deocracy is our country. There are world class education system in our country.
Compare? u wanna compare india then very well do so with whom? Those nations which were under colonial rule and later got independence.....Not with U.K. and U.s. why? Take U.S. it took them more than 100 years to establish themself, The U.K. they were the colonial masters. If u see the other past colonies most of them are disasters.
But Ofcourse, Every Nation has its problems and India also has them, one thing which we lack is our infrastructure, but there is a rapid change happening and a real improvement is happening in our infrastructure.But at the same time we should also give credit to the wonderfull nation. Instead of trumpeting the problems lets take pride to showcase the achievements and hence feel proud to be an Indian.
